Cathay Pacific runs several promotions year-round, both for earning miles and redemption opportunities. Now they have come up with a unique and interesting promotion, “Rewards in the Air”.
Rewards in the Air by Cathay Pacific Promotion Basics
The rewards in the air promotion are easy and can be achieved by most travellers. You need to complete six missions, and upon completing each mission, you will earn bonus Asia Miles with a maximum of 5700 Asia Miles.
Missions
- Mission 1: Earn 500 Asia Miles upon completing one earning or miles redemption transaction.
- Mission 2: Earn 1,000 Asia Miles upon completing eligible miles-earning or miles redemption transactions across two or more categories.
- Mission 3: Earn 2,000 Asia Miles on earnings of 20,000 or more eligible miles.
- Mission 4: Earn 3,000 on redemption transactions of 20,000 or more. [The photo mentions 2000 Bonus Asia Miles on 15000 redemptions or more.]
- Mission 5: Earn 100 Asia Miles with “check-in mission” on the Asia Miles by Cathay app.
- Mission 6: Earn 100 Asia Miles when you opt for Cathay’s communications channels via their member profile. You should not opt out until 31 March 2026.
How to Plan?
Easiest: Missions 5 & 6 are the easiest, which give you 100 miles each, so we are done with 200 miles out of 5700 miles.
Easier: You can complete Mission 1 & 3 by transferring credit card points. If you have Indian Credit Cards, you will get a 25% bonus in Asia Miles when you transfer card points until 31st December 2025, which means you will also get Mission 1 500 Miles and Mission 3 2000 Asia Miles.
Easy: For Mission 2, you have to do two transactions across two or more categories. You will meet one transaction when you complete Mission 3. Now, for another transaction, you have multiple options:
- Credit Flights to Cathay Pacific.
- Hotel stays, such as at Marriott.
- Car Rentals
May Be: For Mission 4, I think the easiest option is to have already a redemption planned using Asia Miles; otherwise, it will not make sense to redeem miles. Also, there appears to be a mismatch between the miles mentioned in the image and the terms & conditions.
Things to Know
- Registration is mandatory.
- Available for members residing outside Hong Kong.
- Even though, as per the terms & conditions, members should have received the information via email, it appears everyone can register for this promotion. Confirmation of registration will be received within 7 days of registration.
- Promotion Period: 11th December 2025 to 31st January 2026.
- Bonus Miles will be credited by 31st March 2026.
