How does the Qantas Award Discount works

You don’t have to apply any discount to get the benefit of the Qantas Award discount promotion. Just follow the same steps as you would book an award flight on Qantas, and the discount will be automatically applied.

When you search for an award flight, you will see that the sale is live.

I checked a few routes, and the discounted flights were appearing. Since Qantas follows a discounted award chart and Classic Reward Plus awards are priced separately, it is easier to spot discounted award flights.

For example, the distance between Perth and Sydney is approximately 2000 miles, and an award flight on this route would usually cost 20700 one-way. With a promotion, the flight costs 15600 Qantas Points.

Is this promotion worth it?

There are other ways to book Qantas domestic award flights. You can use Avios and Flying Blue miles to book domestic Qantas flights for less. So, this promotion may not be worth it for everyone. However, if you already have Qantas points, you can get more value from them with the promotion.
