Tip: Book Separate Flights

If you try to book your onward and return flight in a single itinerary, you may be unable to book a seat at promo fare online. So check the lowest miles requirement for such cases compared to the actual miles shown.

For example, If you try to book round trip flights you will be shown the lowest number of miles .i.e. promo miles like in the image below it is 22,750, for the return flight. However, you will not be able to book promo fare since the onward flight is not on promo fares. So, it is better to book seperate award flights to take benefit of Promo fare.

If you want your flights on a single PNR, call Singapore Airlines. They should be able to book a round-trip flight with one flight on promo fare and the other on Saver.

Fewer Options

This month the back out period is bigger than earlier months, which is due to peak travel period in January. Also, Business Class is not available on long haul flights like to Europe or USA.
