Review: Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge Jakarta Int Airport [CGK]

I was flying back to Delhi from Jakarta and had no breakfast at the hotel in the morning. So, I decided to check out the lounge at Jakarta Airport. The Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge is the only lounge at Jakarta Terminal 3 (International Departures) which can be accessed using a priority pass. Overall, the experience was good, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was pleasing. My earlier experience of Golden Lounge Regional when flying Malaysia Airlines Business Class was not so good. So, I needed a good lounge experience before I got home and this lounge didn’t disappoint.

How to access Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge Jakarta?

The Saphire Plaza Premium lounge at Jakarta can be accessed using a Prority Pass. It also has a separate section for Business Class passengers, which is also accessible with a Prority Pass if you have a business class ticket. Some airlines also have contracts with this lounge as there is no other lounge at this Terminal, baring the Garuda Indonesia lounge. I was flying economy, so I didn’t have access to the Plaza Premium First Lounge.

Ambience & Views

The ambience of Saphire Lounge is really good. It is pleasing. Also, there were hardly four or five travellers when I was there, so there was no rush. Even after an hour, the occupancy was low. There are no airport views, but it’s still okay.

The seating area is really good, too.

Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge Food

When at Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge, you can choose from multiple food options. I tried the coffee and food, and they were good. I had a latte, which was one of the best I have had.

Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge Shower & Spa

The lounge does have shower and spa facilities. Both are chargeable. However, if you are flying business class, the shower facility is free. Otherwise, it is just $18.

Bottomline

Saphire Plaza Premium Lounge Jakarta Int Airport is a good lounge with a great ambience and decent food. You can easily spend hours here if you have a long layover. Even though the shower facility is chargeable, it is not expensive. Also, the spa is available; however, it is chargeable for both economy and business class passengers. I think you won’t be disappointed with this lounge; I didn’t, either.
