Amex RewardXcelerator: Earn 10x/20x Points

Amex is one of the best credit cards out there. It also has one of the highest fee-based credit cards in India. But they also compensate for it. To further benefit these super-premium cards, Amex has launched Amex RewardXcelerator. It is a no-brainer way to earn 10x or 20x reward points on your Amex Cards.

Amex Cards Eligible for RewardXcelerator

American Express Centurion and Platinum Cardmembers are eligible for Amex RewardXcelerator. So, they will earn bonus points on shopping at eligible brands.

How does RewardXcelerator work?

It is simple, and you don’t need to purchase via affiliate links to be able to earn bonus points. You have to swipe or shop online at eligible brands, and you will earn bonus points. Nothing else.

Most are lifestyle brands, and few are your regular brands, such as Tata Cliq & Air India.

All Brands are eligible for transactions between 6 December 2023 and 6 December 2024 (both days included). However, the offer at Good Earth is eligible for transactions up to 20th February 2024.

How many points do you earn via RewardXcelerator?

There is no maximum limit on points that can be earned when shopping at these brands. So, the sky is the limit.

Only two brands, Darveys & RAS, are eligible for 20x bonus points, whereas all others are eligible for 10x points.

Since Centurion cardmembers already earn six reward points on every INR 200 spent, they will earn 114 bonus points at 20x brands and 54 points at 10x brands. For Platinum cardholders, bonus points will be 19 at 20x brands and nine at 10x brands with one base point on every INR 40 spending.

Exclusions

There are no major exclusions to RewardXcelerator.

However, you will not earn any bonus points under RewardXcelerator on purchasing Gold & Silver coins and bars on Tata CLiQ and Tata CLiQ luxury. Select products & services are not eligible for RewardXcelerator at Kapoor Watch Company.

All purchases should be based in India.

Bottomline

Amex RewardXcelerator is a great option for the Centurion and Platinum Cardholders to earn bonus points. To earn 25-30 points on 100 spend is insane. However, considering the brands, spending on these brands would most likely be high except for Tata Cliq and Air India Domestic Economy flights.
