Amex has launched the much-awaited Marriott Transfer Bonus Promotion. But it’s not for everyone. This promotion is valid for transfers from 17 February 2025 to 16 April 2025. Here are the details.
Eligible Amex Cards
Unlike earlier promotions, not all American Express Cards are eligible for this promotion. Only two Cards are eligible for this promotion, which are:
- Centurion Card
- Platinum Card
Exisiting Transfer Ratio
You can always transfer your Amex points to your marriott account using a 1:1 transfer ratio. A yearly transfer limit of 900K Amex points applies. Usually, the base transfers are instants.
Amex to Marriott Transfer Bonus Basics
For transfers from Amex to Marriott between 17th February 2025 and 16th April 2025, you will get a 10% Bonus. The maximum Bonus of 25K Points applies. This limit is not on a transaction basis but for all transfers during the promotion. So, if you transfer 300K points, you will receive only 25K Bonus Points.
Summary:
- Transfer Dates: 17th February 2025 till 16th April 2025
- Transfer Bonus: 10%
- Maximum Transfer Bonus: 25K Bonus Points in total
- 10% Bonus Points will be credited within 12 weeks from the offer end date, which means mid-July 2025.
- Transfers can not be reversed.
Other Ways to Earn Close to 25K Marriott Points
The Bonus Cap of 25K is low. And there are other low-cost ways to earn Marriott Bonvoy points. You can always transfer points from other credit cards or even members for free. But if you still don’t have any option left, you can:

Is it worth it?
The Amex to Marriott transfer ratio is 1:1, and any transfer bonus on top of it makes it sweeter. This is a decent enough promotion if you already have Amex points and plan to use them for Marriott. Speculative transfers may not make a lot of sense considering a low transfer bonus of 10% and a capping of 25K Bonus Points. Probably, for such cases, we will wait till April.
