Marriott Bonvoy is back with the 2026 global promotion. This offer allows you to earn bonus points and elite night credits. Even though the promo may sound amazing, it is not. Here is why.
How the Marriott Bonvoy Global Promotion Works
This year, the Marriott Bonvoy Global Promotion isn’t great. You get 2500 Bonus points for a stay and one elite night credit for every brand you stay at.
So, if you stay at JW Marriott for 10 nights, you will get 2500 Bonus Points and one bonus Elite Night Credit. Plus, base Marriott Bonvoy points and elite bonus points, that’s it.
However, to get the benefit of this promotion, you need to register for it.

- Register by 26 April 2026.
- Stay Dates between 25 February 2026 and 10 May 2026.
- 2500 Bonus Points will be credited within 10 days of checkout.
- 1 Elite Night Credit will be credited within six weeks after the Promotion has ended.
- For stays at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, bonus points and elite night credits will be credited within six weeks after the Promotion has ended.
Brand-Based Elite Night Credits
Marriott has 35 brands; however, not all brands are eligible for this promotion.
Brand Exclusions: BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, Grand Residences by Marriott, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, The St. Regis Residence Club, and The Luxury Collection Residence Club.
But this promotion applies to upcoming stays at different Marriott brands. There is no specific Elite Night Credit for brands that earn half an Elite Night Credit per night, so even brands like Protea Hotels, City Express, Four Points Flex, and Series by Marriott will earn half an Elite Night Credit and one Elite Night Credit per stay.
In comparison, if you complete stays at five different Hyatt brands, you get a free award night, so you may want to look at that if elite night credits aren’t your thing. Best part, doesn’t come with any timeline.

There are several exclusions which made this promotion eligible, such as:
- Members earning miles on stays are not eligible.
- Award redemption stay nights, including Cash + Points Awards, Free Night Awards, or a Points redemption, are not eligible for the promotion.

- The Hotel must be part of Marriott Bonvoy during the stay.
- Only stays after promotion registration during the promotion earning period are eligible.
- A maximum of One Room per night in which a member stays is eligible.
When This Promotion Actually Makes Sense
This promotion isn’t as great as last year, when I could rack up Elite Night credits for stays at the same brand. Now, this year, the promotion will not get me out of my bed. But do register for this promotion in case someone stays at Marriott.
This promotion works well for shorter stays and at different brands.
Bottomline
Marriott Bonvoy Global Promotion 2026 is not a great offer this year. This makes sense for those with short stays across different brands. If you stay at Protea Hotels, City Express, Four Points Flex, or Series by Marriott, register for this promotion to receive 2500 Bonus points plus 1.5 elite night credit for a one-night stay.
