Multiply Avios with Avios Balance Boost Promotion [1.20¢ or ₹1.04 per Avios]

British Airways & Qatar Airways offer Avios Boost. Usually, British Airways allows Avios Balance Boost for Avios earned in the past 30 days in your British Airways account. And Qatar Airways offers the same for 90 days. Boosting Avios with British Airways is cheaper, whereas Qatar Airways is an expensive option. Now, if in 2024 you earned Avios in your British Airways Account, you can boost them, and a limit of 30 days does not apply to these Avios-earning transactions for a limited time. This is a good Avios Balance Boost Promotion.

British Airways Avios Balance Boost Promotion

• All Avios earned in 2024 in your British Airways can be boosted up to 4 times.
• This promotion is valid till 3rd February 2025.
• Usually, the Avios can be boosted up to 3 times; however, for this promotion, you can boost up to 4 times.

Cost of Avios Balance Boost

• If you plan to boost your Avios, you can do so for as low as 1.20¢ or ₹1.04 per Avios. The table below summarises the cost of each boost.

• This pricing is only valid for boosting till 300K Avios, after which it will be more expensive.

Do This Not That

Qatar Airways is offering up to 60% bonus on the purchase of Avios till 2nd Feb 2025. The lowest cost of purchase is 1.44¢ or ₹1.25 per Avios. So, if you are short of Avios, use this promotion. Obviously, you must have earned Avios in British Airways to be eligible for this promotion. But with this promotion, you can buy Avios as low as 1.04¢ or ₹1.20 per Avios with no minimum threshold.

I will surely use this promotion to 4x my Avios as it is the cheapest way to get Avios.

Which Transactions can be boosted?

• Usually, you can boost Avios earned from the following options:
  • Earned from BA Shopping Portal
  • IndusInd Avios Credit Card and other cards
  • Transfer from Amex
  • Flights
  • Hotels and travel
  • Uber
  • Avios earned via Marriott should also be eligible.
• Those transactions that you have not boosted already are eligible so, if you have already boosted Avios for a transaction that can not be boosted.

Is Avios Balance Boost Promotion worth it?

There are two ways to see it. If you need Avios and already planned to buy them, go with this promotion if you have transactions to boost. At the same time, if you have not earned a significant number of Avios with British Airways, you can look at boosting them.

For example, Last year, I already boosted the Avios I earned on UK Uber. However, there was one transaction of 600 Avios, which still needs to be boosted. And I can get 2400 Avios for just $28.80. I plan to use Avios this year, so it makes sense to top up my Avios.

The Avios Balance Boost Promotion is a neat way to get more Avios without spending a lot.
