Avios is the Miles Currency of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia Airlines & Qatar Airways. These airlines are members of the OneWorld Alliance, except Aer Lingus. All five airlines have separate frequent flyer programs, but Avios can be transferred instantly between them, primarily through British Airways. If you are short of Avios< you can also buy Avios during Bonus or discount promotions. Now, Finnair is offering up to 50% Bonus on Avios purchases.
Current Offer on Buying Finnair Avios
Usually, it costs 2.24¢ USD to buy one Finnair Avios; however, with the 50% bonus promotion, you can buy Avios for as little as 1.65¢ until 5 February 2026. However, this promotion is available only to members who joined the program before 30 January 2026 and have a minimum balance of 50 Avios in their Finnair Plus account.

Bottomline
There are several ways to earn Avios worldwide. However, buying Avios during bonus or discount promotions is also helpful when the price is right. However, be aware of high fuel surcharges on Qatar Airways and British Airways. This offer, however, is decent. If you are not interested, check Avianca Lifemiles or Aeroplan points and Alaska Airlines offers, which often have low fuel surcharges and reasonable pricing. However, you can also redeem Avios for some fantastic travel, as I did for Malaysia Airlines Business Class.
