Accor Points are valuable; since 2000, Accor points are worth €40. If you are an Accor member with many Accor points, you can also use Accor Airline Partners. Most airlines have a transfer ratio of 2:1. In contrast, a few transfers are 1:1. For Emirates, the transfer ratio is 2:1. However, until 12th March 2024, you can convert accor points to Emirates Miles with a bonus. A 25% bonus mile is being offered on converting Accor Points to Emirates Skywards Miles, effectively making the ratio 1.60:1.

Convert Accor Points to Emirates Miles with Bonus Basics

There are two offers: the conversion of existing accor points and the automatic conversion of accor points to Emirates.

Convert Existing Points

Transfer of Accor Points to Emirates will earn 25% bonus miles. This offer is valid for transfers till 12th March 2024.

A Minimum of 4000 Accor Points needs to be transferred. And, the transfers should be in multiples of 4000.

On Every transfer of 4000 Accor Points, you will receive 2000 Regular Emirates Skywards miles and 500 Bonus Miles. So, a total of 2500 miles will be received by converting 4000 Accor points.

You can transfer miles here or here.

Stay Bonus Offer with Automatic Conversion

If you have upcoming stays, you can earn bonus miles on them. You must book your stay by 12th March 2024 for stay dates till 31st May 2024.

You would need to activate automatic conversion into Skywards miles through this link. This is an important step. You won’t earn any bonus miles on stays if you don’t activate automatic conversion.

In any case, automatic conversion will occur if your account points to multiples of 4000.

Should you transfer?

Firstly, Emirates has been a big offender of a hefty fuel surcharge. So, you must use your miles to book an award seat and pay a huge fuel surcharge.

Qantas is a partner of both Emirates and Accor. You can transfer your points to Qantas at a 1:1 ratio and still pay the fuel surcharge. However, availability may be limited. So, I don’t think this offer would make sense to convert Accor points to Emirates speculatively unless you are ready with redemptions.

JAL is also an Emirates and Accor member with a 2:1 ratio, which is worth exploring.

Let’s take an example of a SIN-MEL Emirates Direct flight in business class:

ProgramMilesTaxes
Emirates201KS$ 87.50

Aeroplan75KC$127
[INR 8K]
JAL42K¥ 9,790

Qantas75KS$88

Emirates with Partner Airlines

Even though taxes are low here, this will not always be the case. Also, both JAL and Qantas have low mileage requirements since they have a distance-based award chart.

Bottomline

You can Convert Accor Points to Emirates Miles with a Bonus offer. You will receive 25% Bonus miles on both usual and automatic transfers. However, this offer is not for everyone unless you want to top-up your Emirates miles.
