Uber and Cathay Pacific Airlines have partnered, so now, as a Cathay Pacific member, you can earn Asia Miles on Uber Rides in Hong Kong. Uber already partners with other airlines in various regions, and Cathay Pacific is its first partner in Asia. In Oceania, it partners with Qantas.
How many Asia Miles can you earn on Uber Rides?
You can earn a maximum of 40 Asia Miles for a single Uber ride, and earnings are only applicable on trips in Hong Kong.
- Flat 40 Asia miles on qualifying Uber Taxi rides to and from Hong Kong International Airport,
- Flat 20 Asia miles on any qualifying Uber Taxi rides (excluding trips to and from Hong Kong International Airport)
- New Uber App users will earn 500 Bonus Asia Miles on their first-ever Uber trip with Uber Taxi.
The Asia Miles will be credited within 24 hours of completing the ride.

Other Airline partners
Uber have a total of six Uber Airline partners and five, excluding Cathay Pacific:
- Air France-KLM for rides in France & the Netherlands.
- Air Canada for rides in Canada
- British Airways for rides in the United Kingdom
- Delta Air Lines for rides in the USA.
- Qantas for rides in Australia.
Is it good?
No, there is a limit on the earnings of Asia Miles per single Uber Ride, regardless of the amount spent. That takes away any benefit you could have had if the prices are higher than usual. Actually, you earn 20 Asia Miles on a regular Uber ride, which is too low. But, in any case, link your account to get these small top-ups.
