Ascott is a Singapore-based hotel chain that has hotels around the world. A few years ago, they also acquired Oakwood, a well-known name in the hotel industry. It has four tiers, and you can fast-track to Gold status with Mastercard. Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), an alliance of Independent hotels, is one of the popular loyalty programs, and you become a Titanium Elite holder with a World Elite Mastercard or Visa Infinite Card.

With the I Prefer Hotel Rewards Elite status, you can benefit from the perks at 650 participating hotels and resorts in over 80 countries. As usual, the benefits depend upon the elite status you hold.
Mastercard I Prefer Hotel Rewards Elite Status Eligibility
- World Elite Mastercard: 1-year access to the I Prefer Titanium tier membership + 25,000 points upon completion of the first qualified I Prefer member stay.

Little Emperors is an interesting addition here. It is not like a regular hotel loyalty program; rather, it is more like VRBO, which offers paid memberships. They claim that over 80% of the hotel bookings are upgraded by at least one room category.

- Membership renewal fees will be charged automatically if membership is not cancelled at least 48 hours before the renewal date.

Bottomline
If you have a Mastercard, you can easily use it to status match to various hotel elite statuses. However, not all hotel elite status matches with Mastercard are worth it.
