While the benefit looks straightforward in theory, how the Accor+ Explorer stay discount actually works can vary by hotel, location, and rate type.
Which brands are eligible for the Accor+ Explorer stay discount
You can take advantage of a 15% stay discount that you get with Accor+ Explorer at multiple brands; however, some brands’ discounted stays are available in Asia Pacific only:

How much discount do you get with Accor+ Explorer
As per Accor+ policy, the stay discount of up to 15% applies to the best public rate. The discount cannot be stacked with other promotional offers. If a hotel is already running a discount promotion such as 15%, the Accor+ rate may be the same, with differences limited to booking conditions such as cancellation flexibility.
How does the Accor+ Explorer stay discount work?
If you are an Accor+ explorer member, you will see the discounted rate for your stay. You can also filter hotels that are offering ALL Accor+ Explorer rates. You also earn Accor points for stays booked with Accor+ explorer rates and can redeem them, too.

Accor+ Explorer stay discount: Benefit review
As per the terms and conditions, the Accor+ Explorer stay discount of up to 15% applies to the best available public rate. In practice, pricing works slightly differently. Non-members typically get the best public rate, while Accor members without Accor+ get a reduced Member Rate.
In most of the hotels I checked, the Accor+ Explorer discount was applied on the Member Rate rather than the public rate. As a result, the effective savings can be higher when compared against third-party public prices, such as those commonly found on booking platforms.

There are a few exceptions to the 15% stay discount. At some hotels, the discount is calculated on the Member Rate after taxes, which reduces the effective percentage, even though an additional discount is still applied.
In certain hotels, such as in Dubai, the Accor+ discount is often applied on the best available public rate. In these cases, there may be no separate Accor member discount to stack, and the final savings can be lower than 15%, as seen at properties like Sofitel Dubai The Palm & Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai.
Can you combine other promotions with Accor+ Explorer rates?
Accor+ Explorer discounts cannot be stacked with other stay discounts or promotions. However, you can still combine the booking with other promotions, such as offers that award bonus points (for example, 2x Reward points).
Importantly, having an Accor+ Explorer membership does not restrict discounted stay offers. If a property is running a higher public discount, such as 20% off, you can book that rate even as an Accor+ Explorer member.
Can you use the Stay Plus benefit on the Accor+ Explorer rate?
Accor+ Explorer membership includes two Stay Plus nights. These can be used alongside the Accor+ Explorer rate, allowing you to redeem a Stay Plus night while booking the remaining nights at the discounted Accor+ rate.
