Free Bonus Points at new hotels
The easiest way for hotel chains to promote a new hotel is by giving additional bonus points for stays at such hotels. Similar to Hyatt, Hilton also runs a promotion where you can earn bonus points for stays at new hotels.
This Hilton Honor promotion gives 1000 bonus points per night for stays at new Hilton properties. And if you stay for three nights or more, you earn 5000 bonus points. Repeat stays are not eligible for this promotion.

New Members Bonus Points
New Members earn bonus points for stays booked within six months of joining Hilton Honors. For the first stay, a new member earns 1000 bonus points; for the second, they earn 2000 bonus points.
This promotion is valid for members joining between 1st Jan 2024 to 31st Dec 2024.
100% Bonus Points on Buying Hilton Honor Points
Hilton is running targeted promotions where members can be eligible for 100% bonus points when purchasing Hilton Honor Points. The promotion is valid till 14th May 2024 and reduces the cost of buying one Hilton Honor Point to INR 0.42.
Which Credit Card to use?
For all stays at properties in India, you can use Axis Atlas Credit to pay the charges. With this card, you will earn 5 Edge Miles for every 100 spent on hotel stays. If you travel outside India, Atlas is still a good choice; however, a 3.5% forex markup is charged.
Bottomline
Hilton Honor is running several promotions. There is ample opportunity to earn lots of bonus points. I value one Hilton Honor Point at INR 0.5, which is decent. However, don’t go out of your way to take advantage of these promotions.
