Cathay Pacific has launched several promotions over the last few months, including bonus points transfers, rewards in the air, and an award flight miles redemption promotion. Now it is back with another award flight promotion. Cathay Pacific is offering a 30% rebate when booking an award flight on select routes.

Till 31st December 2025, Cathay Pacific is offering up to a 30% rebate on Award flights booked with Asia Miles. However, this promotion is slightly geo-limited.

- Redeem Miles for 1 Sector: 10% rebate
- Redeem Miles for 2 to 3 sectors: 20% rebate
- Redeem Miles for four or more sectors: 30% rebate.
- Miles will be credited by 31st May 2026.
- There is no limit on the maximum rebate.
I think this is an excellent promotion for those who want to travel to multiple countries and have a sizeable chunk of Asia Miles. With the rewards in the air promotion, you also get to earn more Asia Miles and miles through rebates.

Who is it for?
If you already have Asia Miles in your account and were planning to do something similar, then this is a good promotion for you. I think if you want to go out of your way, it only makes sense if you do four or more sectors to get 30% back in miles. At the same time, I mostly find Avios a better miles currency for booking Cathay Pacific award flights for relatively fewer miles. But Cathay Pacific may limit the release of premium cabin inventory to its partners.
At the end, I would take it if I already had sizeable Asia Miles in my account and had some plans to use them within Asia.
If you plan to go ahead with it, make sure to use Cathay Pacific Rewards in the Air promotion to earn more miles. And Indian cardholders have a bonus transfer promotion that gives them 25% back in miles.
