Singapore Airlines Krisflyer is a popular frequent flyer program among us for varied reasons. The Krisflyer miles are easier to earn thanks to several earning and transfer partners. At the same time, the good redemption options for premium cabins and the Spontaneous Escapes make it one of the most sought-after programs. Now, there is some adjustment in the miles required for award flights, and Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles have modest devaluation starting 1st November 2025. However, it is not a significant devaluation like we have seen from other airlines, such as United and Turkish, but rather a modest increase, with an opportunity to redeem miles at the old rates for the next two months.
What has not changed?
So, Singapore Airlines has not done away with a region-based award chart. The award chart continues to have Zone-Based Award Pricing. Also, no fuel surcharge has been increased as of now, and it can be increased anytime. Still, Singapore Airlines has one of the lowest fuel surcharges on its award flights.
What has changed starting 1st November 2025?
Two changes are coming for Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Members Starting 1st November 2025:
Introduction of Access Redemption
Singapore Airlines is introducing a high-mileage required award flight, which you will be able to book as long as there are available seats. Seats available for Access redemption are over and above the seats available for award flights. We are here to see the pricing for Access Redemption, which will depend on the demand and supply.
Here is the comparison between Saver/Advantage Award and Access Redemption:

Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Miles Modest Devaluation w.e.f. 1st November 2025
The increase in Krisflyer Miles is not significant; only the advantage fares with Premium Cabins have been devalued up to 20% whereas the Saver Flights have a modest increase of up to 10% and on some routes, they have been decreased by 5%.
Here are route examples with the change.

Star Alliance Krisflyer Changes
Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Miles are not widely used for booking Star Alliance flights; however, with Air India as an option, Krisflyer Miles are a viable choice for booking Air India Flights. However, the recent devaluation has also impacted the Star Alliance award flights, including Air India. There doesn’t seem to be a significant increase, with only a modest increase of 10%.

Other Krisflyer Miles Changes
Apart from Singapore Airlines & Star Alliance Award miles, have also been increased for Upgrade Awards, Garuda, Juneyao, and Virgin Australia Award Flights.
Managing Devaluation
The New Award will be applicable for bookings made on or after 1st November 2025. So, any award booking made till 31st October 2025 will continue to be at the old rates. One Plus point of booking an award flight now is that if you change date or flight (not route change), you do not need to use or pay additional miles; however, you may have to pay $25 as a change fee for Saver Awards and Zero fees for Advantage Awards.
For any other changes on or after 1st November 2025, the new award chart will kick in, and you will have to pay additional miles.

Thoughts
Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Miles Devaluation is modest and often comes after a gap of 3 to 5 years. So, it was not so unexpected and at the same time not a brutal devaluation as we have seen from Top Airlines like United & Turkish Airlines. That makes Krisflyer Miles a good Program to earn and redeem for your next travel adventure on one of the best cabins you can fly.
