Sign-up and Become a World of Hyatt Member
Before earning Hyatt points, you must become a World of Hyatt Member. The World of Hyatt is a free-to-join Hotels Loyalty Program from Hyatt.
Stay at Any of the 1200+ Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
For every stay at any of the 1200+ Hyatt hotels & resorts worldwide, you earn “World of Hyatt” points. Every member earns 5 Hyatt points for every $1 (INR 82) spent. So, let’s say you Stay at “Grand Hyatt Goa” and pay a room charge of INR 8200 excluding taxes. On these charges, you will receive 500 Hyatt Points. Although the points are limited compared to other hotel brands, Hyatt has one of the best values per Point.
Achieve Hyatt Elite Status and Get More Points
Once you achieve an Elite Hyatt tier you get bonus points in addition to base points of 5 Per $1 (INR 82).
Here are the Hyatt Elite Status wise bonus points earnings:
- Discoverist: 10% Bonus; Total 5.5 Hyatt Points per $1 (INR 82)
- Explorist: 20% Bonus; Total 6 Hyatt Points per $1 (INR 82)
- Globalist: 30% Bonus, Total 6.5 Hyatt Points per $1 (INR)
Reach a Milestone
Hyatt rewards milestones starting 20 nights or 35000 points up to 100 nights a year. With every milestone, you get to choose between two options and, at a few milestones, between 3 options. So, it will be up to you to earn Hyatt points or get the other rewards. Here is the list of Hyatt Bonus Points milestone rewards (there are more rewards where you don’t get options to choose points):

So, if you choose Hyatt Points on these milestones, you can earn a maximum of 45000 Bonus Hyatt Points. But for someone, Suite Upgrade Award may be worth it and a nice free night.
Earn Points on Dining & Spa
Even if you’re not staying at any of the Hyatt hotels and just dining or taking a nice spa, you also earn Hyatt Points. You can earn five Hyatt points per $1 spent on these spending. So, these are on par with the room stays.
New Hyatt Hotel Stays
Hyatt has been generous to members for Staying at their new hotels. You can earn 500 Hyatt bonus points if you stay at these new properties.
Also, you can earn these bonus points even using a “Free Night Award”. So, you get back your points.

Earn Bonus Points on Offer
From time to time, Hyatt run both targeted offer and global promotions. These offers allow you to earn bonus points, sometimes at a fixed rate or sometimes at multiples of base points. For Example, recent global promotions give you 3000 fixed bonus Hyatt points after two stays. From time-to-time offers like these pop-ups. Few of them require registration, whereas few do not.

You can also earn double points on your stays, but it may not be worth it since the value of Hyatt points vs charges for a Room Rate of double points may not leave any room for gain.
Celebrate Your Wedding Day at Hyatt
Indians are known for their big fat weddings. What if you can earn earned points that have great value? This is where Hyatt comes in. If you celebrate your wedding day at participating hotels, then you earn Hyatt bonus points with a Honeymoon offer. You can earn Hyatt points whenever you celebrate your wedding at Hyatt Hotel with the offer code “HMOON”. These Hyatt points vary based on your spending.

You can also host a meeting or an event at Hyatt Hotels. On spending hosting these meetings and events, you can earn 1 Hyatt bonus point on every $1 (82) spent. However, a Maximum of 50000 bonus points can be earned on this spending. If several members host these events, up to three can earn a bonus by splitting the bill. So, it is a good way to host a meeting or even together and earn points.
Points for Stay at Small Luxury Hotels of the World
You can earn 5 Base World of Hyatt Points on every $1 (INR 82) spent for room stays, dining etc., at Small Luxury Hotels worldwide. In India, there is only one such hotel in Jaipur. As a World of Hyatt member, you can also get a complimentary breakfast at these hotels. Most of these hotels are in Europe. There is also one hotel in Bhutan.

Points on Find Experience
There is limited earning opportunity on earning points on Hyatt Find Experience. You can earn points on Find Experience in Rajasthan. As a World of Hyatt member, you can earn ten base points for every $1 (INR 82) spent.
Earn Points with American Airlines
If you travel on American Airlines, you can earn 1 World of Hyatt point on a spend of $1 (INR 82). American Airlines have direct flights from India to multiple cities in the USA. To earn these points, you must be a member of the Loyalty Program.
Buy World of Hyatt Points
You can buy your World of Hyatt points if you are short on them. In rare cases, you can get more value out of your points than the cost of points. Also, Hyatt runs time-to-time bonus points on purchases or discounts on the purchase price of points. So, it can be worth a try to buy points to get more value out of your Hyatt points.
Points Combining
As per Hyatt policy, two Hyatt members can combine points. However, it can be done only once in 30 days. Both members have to fill out and sign the form. This form has either to be sent via post or email. For most of us, sending it via email to “[email protected]” will work. Once Hyatt receives the email, it may take more than 24 hours for points to be credited to your account, and in some cases may be.
Points on Lindblad Expeditions
This option of earning Hyatt points is not for regular Indian travellers. On Lindblad Expeditions spending, you earn 5 points for every $1 spent. Most of these expeditions are from/in the Arctic and require big spending and a lot of days. So, this will not work for most of us.
